Privacy policy

Privacy without an account

JUZZ works without registration. Optional Google sign-in is available through Neon Auth, but an account is never required to listen. JUZZ does not request payment details.

Optional account information

If you choose Google sign-in, Neon Managed Better Auth may store your user ID, name, email address, profile image reference, provider account link, session records, and OAuth-related credentials in Neon’s authentication schema. Google processes the authorization request under its own policy. After sign-in, JUZZ merges supported device-local listening state with the account’s Neon state; both sides are merged. If you create a JUZZ public profile, your chosen username, optional profile image, privacy setting, join date, and selected activity totals are stored in Neon.

Information stored on your device

JUZZ uses browser storage to remember your theme, chosen reciter, favourite surahs and reciters, recent listening, current playback position, and ayah completion progress. This information remains in your browser for guest users. After sign-in, supported state is also merged into the authenticated Neon account so it can be restored on another device.

Network requests and service providers

To provide the service, your browser connects to:

  • Vercel for website hosting and delivery.
  • Neon for Postgres hosting and optional Managed Better Auth sessions.
  • Google when you voluntarily choose Google sign-in.
  • EveryAyah for Quran recitation audio.
  • AlQuran.Cloud for Uthmani Arabic verse text and the Sahih International English translation displayed in the player.

Those providers may receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser details, requested file, and request time under their own policies.

Cookies and analytics

JUZZ does not run advertising, behavioural analytics, cross-site tracking, or marketing cookies. Optional sign-in uses strictly necessary authentication and session cookies managed by Neon Auth. Hosting and security providers may use necessary technical mechanisms to deliver and protect the service.

Sharing and selling

JUZZ does not sell personal information. We do not build advertising profiles or share local favourites and Quran progress data with marketers. Account information is processed only by the providers required to deliver optional authentication and database services. Public-profile information is visible only when you leave the profile privacy setting off.

Your choices

You can remove device-local JUZZ data at any time through your browser’s site-data or storage settings. You can sign out from the Login page. You can make your profile private at any time. For account deletion or privacy requests, use the official support channels on the Contact page. Blocking storage or cookies may limit favourites, recents, theme persistence, Quran progress, and sign-in sessions.

Children

JUZZ is a general-audience Quran listening service and does not knowingly request or collect personal information from children.

Changes and questions

Material policy changes will be reflected on this page with a revised date. For privacy questions, contact @playmanintro on Instagram or JUZZ support on Discord. These are third-party platforms governed by their own privacy policies; do not send sensitive information publicly.
