6 ayahs. Madinah Mushaf (KFGQPC) and Sahih International translation.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,
مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ
The Sovereign of mankind.
إِلَٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ
The God of mankind,
مِن شَرِّ ٱلْوَسْوَاسِ ٱلْخَنَّاسِ
From the evil of the retreating whisperer -
ٱلَّذِى يُوَسْوِسُ فِى صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ
Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -
مِنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ
From among the jinn and mankind."
Surah An-Nas is a Meccan chapter of 6 ayahs and the final surah of the Quran. It seeks refuge with the Lord, King, and God of humanity from the whisperer who withdraws, who whispers into the chests of people, whether from jinn or mankind.
Surah An-Nas is recited before sleep as part of a practice reported in Sahih al-Bukhari (5017): Aisha described the Prophet cupping his hands, reciting Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas, blowing lightly into his hands, and wiping what he could of his body, repeating this three times each night. As the final surah, it closes the Quran and this protection routine.
Recordings of Surah An-Nas on JUZZ run from about 0.3 minutes with Ahmed Al-Ajamy to about 1.2 minutes with Al-Husary, Mujawwad, based on 48 timed recordings in the catalogue. With 6 ayahs, murattal styles sit at the shorter end and mujawwad or teaching recitations run slower; the player speed setting changes the time too.
